"David Sugarman was referred to us by some dear and trusted friends. As it turns out other friends were ready to recommend him as well. With friends from different ends of town willing to recommend him so enthusiastically to us to help us with our search, this collaboration bode well from the
beginning.
 
The complication that we faced was that we were initiating our search from Newfoundland for a capital region property that would be suitable for my wife and our three children, while my wife was finishing her second degree. We live in the country here on the rock and enjoy that lifestyle, but
schools and recreational opportunities for the kids while living in Ontario were also an issue to consider.

David’s initial advice before having met any of us was that we should be looking for a semi-detached unit in Glen Cairn. The moment we met, David immediately said “Right, that is out of the question. Let’s look for something a lot more interesting.” And so we did. And what fun we had! David rebuilt the parameters for the search and quickly gave us better options. He was able to intuit our needs and responded to them and he informed Angela of the changes as well. He latched on to our mind-set and simply knew what to do. He would describe listings listing their pros and cons from our standpoint and we developed linguistic shorthand in just a couple of days. He keeps an astounding number of pertinent figures statistics and information in his head as well as his personal knowledge of other agents and their ways of working as points of reference for each
search and each negotiation.
 
When we found the house that was just right, he clearly described the pros and cons of the choice the suitability of the choice as regards to our current situation and what the potential of the house could be in the future. When I had to return to Newfoundland early, he accompanied the building inspector to the inspection, took many pictures of each point of the inspection and communicated the results of the process thoroughly and clearly.
 
While I know he was working for other clients at the same time, he always made me feel like my search was the only thing going on. He stayed on top of everything; he negotiated aggressively, effectively and successfully. What could have been a nightmare was a joy.
